LED lighting on the sites

As part of our ongoing efforts to be more sustainable, in recent years we have invested in LED lighting in almost all our warehouses. The recent energy crisis prompted us to take an even more conscious look at our energy consumption. So, in addition to already existing measures such as extinguishing outdoor lighting at nighttime idle depots and reducing heating, the decision was made to invest in energy-efficient LED lighting.

With the exception of the warehouses at Weversstraat 34 in Londerzeel and Cargovil in Vilvoorde, LED lighting has been installed wherever possible. This investment offers three major advantages:

• Efficient energy consumption: Thanks to motion sensors, the lights only come on when someone is walking down the corridor, leading to significant savings in power consumption.

• Longer lifespan: LED lights last much longer than traditional lighting, which means less frequent bulb replacement, reducing both costs and waste.

• Less power consumption: LED lighting consumes significantly less power than conventional lighting, directly contributing to lower CO₂ emissions.

These measures fit perfectly with our vision to reduce our carbon footprint and promote energy efficiency. At Distrilog, we continuously look for innovative ways to make our operations more sustainable and minimise our impact on the environment.
