What is HVO?

HVO is a renewable diesel made from waste oils and fats. This fuel is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional diesel and helps reduce CO2 emissions significantly, by almost 90%! HVO is also free of fossil resources, which contributes to a lower carbon footprint.

The benefits of HVO

There are numerous benefits to using HVO. It reduces emissions of greenhouse gases, particulates and nitrogen oxides. In addition, HVO is fully compatible with existing diesel engines, meaning that no modifications to our vehicles are required. This allows us to benefit directly from the environmental gains without compromising on performance.

HVO at Distrilog

We already run on HVO for some of our customers, which fits in with their own sustainability goals. In early August, we received our first large HVO delivery, stored in our large tank at the Olen depot. This marks an important step in our transition to more sustainable transport.

With HVO as part of our fuel portfolio, we continue to take responsibility and strive for a greener future, both for our customers and society.
